Using Twitter to Teach in the Medical Setting

From Alan T. Williams –

Recently, surgeons in Detroit used Twitter while performing brain surgery.  The article has a nice video with it and discusses how medical students across the country were able to virtually sit in on this brain surgery through the use of Twitter.  I found this extremely interesting so I just thought I’d share.  Here’s the link to the video/article:  http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/Weekend/story?id=7140272&page=1 .  Kind of gets your gears turning on the many uses of Twitter in medical library education.  Enjoy!
