Career Development Resources at NLM®

From Cynthia Burke:

FAQ: Finding Full Text Articles – US and International Resources, is at http://www.nlm.nih.gov/services/getting_fulltext_articles.html.  This resource points to full-text scholarly and trade articles, books, and reports, from the late 1800s to the present. Many are free. The 13 international resources provide free or low-cost access to institutions or individuals in developing or transition countries. The last section, Document Delivery, explains how you can get the resources at your workstation and/or through your institution’s library.

Finding money for research, training, graduate study, and other programs can be difficult. FAQ: Grant Information – US and International shows you where to find the money and how to get it. You can also see what is and has been funded. Print books that your local public, hospital or university libraries may have are also included. The FAQ is at http://www.nlm.nih.gov/services/grant_info.html .

The FAQ: Medical & Health Care Education and Career Information, at http://www.nlm.nih.gov/services/medicaled.html, links to health sciences career and specialty sites. It also links to information about research and training opportunities and financial aid. You can find out about national and international health sciences conferences from FAQ: Medical & Health Care Meetings and Conference, at http://www.nlm.nih.gov/services/medmeet.html .
